PRIVACY POLICY

Your information, with care.

This policy explains how Sixteenth Note Foundation handles information shared through this website and related inquiries.

Last updated October 11, 2026

What you choose to share

Musician interest submissions include your name, email, instruments, interests, and consent choices. You may also provide your city, musical background, availability, repertoire, introduction, and a recording or profile link. General and partnership inquiry forms collect your name, email, topic, message, consent, and any organization or location details you provide. Optional fields can be left blank.

These forms are for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect children's information through them. Please do not include children's information or sensitive personal details. Contact us if such information has been submitted so we can address it.

How we use it

We use submitted information to respond to inquiries, consider relevant musical or volunteer opportunities, coordinate community partnerships, and keep records of your preferences. Submitting an interest form does not guarantee participation or placement.

Your sharing choices

Musician profiles and contact details are not published on this website. Only if you select the separate, optional sharing checkbox may we share relevant profile details privately with potential collaborators: your name, city, instruments, background, availability, musical interests, introduction, and profile link.

That choice does not authorize sharing your email or other private contact details; we need separate, explicit permission for those. Please keep private contact details out of your introduction and consider what is already visible on any public profile you link. We do not sell your personal information.

Services that help us

When online submissions are enabled, Formspree processes and stores form responses and sends notifications to the Foundation. Authorized Foundation organizers may maintain a private spreadsheet or export for coordination. Access should be limited to those who need it for this work; opting out of collaborator sharing does not prevent this internal processing.

Online giving, when available, takes place on a third-party hosted checkout, such as Zeffy or Stripe. Zelle transfers, when available, take place through participating banks. Employer giving platforms such as Benevity handle their own transactions. Their privacy policies and terms apply. We may receive gift and donor details needed for administration and acknowledgments, but this website does not collect or store card or bank information.

Hosting, email, form, and payment providers may process technical information such as IP addresses for delivery, security, or spam prevention. We do not add advertising trackers or analytics to this website.

Retention and requests

We keep information only as long as needed for these purposes and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Use our contact form to request access, correction, deletion, or to withdraw consent to future contact or sharing. We may need to retain records required by law. Withdrawing consent cannot recall information already shared with your permission.

Updates to this policy will be posted here with a revised date. Questions about privacy are welcome through the contact form. The Foundation's public contact address is [email protected].
